Abstract:
Objective:
To observe the clinical effect of Xiaoji Zhisou decoction  in the treatment of children with cough due to dyspepsia.
Methods:
From March 2015 to March 2016, 96 children with dyspepsia cough(acute bronchitis) were treated in our hospital and they were randomly divided into observation group(n=50) and control group(n=46). The observation group was treated with Xiaoji Zhisou decoction and the control group with children's Qingfei oral liquid. The therapeutic effect and the recovery time of main TCM syndromes were compared between the two groups after a 15-day treatment.
Results:
The curative effect of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group after 15 days of treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). In the observation group, the recovery time of cough, expectoration, abdominal distension, constipation and defecation, and the main TCM syndromes of halitosis and hand and foot heat was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).
Conclusion:The effect of Xiaoji Zhisou decoction on dyspepsia cough is remarkable.
