Abstract:
Rhubarb has always been an important medicine for doctors. It has good functions, for example, bringing forth the new and getting rid of the old, conducting circulation, regulating middle energizer and helping digestion, and it is widely used in pulmonary diseases. Chengqi decoction with its associated prescriptions and Dachaihu decoction are classical prescriptions for treatment of pulmonary diseases. We have gained a lot through modifying the decoction, and through the combination of oral administration with external application. Based on these prescriptions, the efficacy of rhubarb is discussed in this article. It may be the means of rushing down or clearing, but all of them reflect the excellent medication of doctors. These are worth our careful exploration and we hope to expand its clinical application.
