Abstract:
Objective
To observe the clinical efficacy of desmopressin acetate combined with birdpecking moxibustion in the treatment of children with primary nocturnal enuresis and its recurrence.
Methods
A total of 81 cases who were diagnosed as primary nocturnal enuresis were randomly divided into two groups:40 cases were treated with simple acetic acid (control group) and 41 cases were treated with birdpecking moxibustion combined with acetic acid (combined treatment group). The treatment lasted for 6 months. Observe the clinical results and adverse reactions of the two groups. Follow up the recurrence during the 3 months after treatment.
Results
The total effective rate of combined treatment group was 73.2%(30/41), and in control group 45.0%(18/40), there being significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05); the recurrence rate of combined treatment group was 10.0%(3/30), significantly lower than the 44.4%(8/18) of control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05). There were no adverse reactions in both groups.
Conclusion
Effect of desmopressin acetate combined with birdpecking moxibustion in treating infantile primary nocturnal enuresis is significant with low recurrence rate. There are no significant adverse reactions, so it is worthy of clinical application.
