Abstract:
Objective
To observe the effect of traditional Chinese medicine spasmolysis formula combined with modern rehabilitation training on spasmodic cerebral palsy (referred to as cerebral palsy).
Methods
Totally 60 children with spastic cerebral palsy admitted to liuzhou traditional Chinese medicine hospital from August 2016 to May 2019 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 cases each. In the control group, Bobath therapy was adopted as the main exercise therapy for rehabilitation training. In the observation group, on the basis of treatment for the control group, traditional Chinese medicine spasmolysis prescription was applied for bathing. The modified Ashworth scale (MAS) score was used to evaluate the clinical efficacy, and the gross motor function test (GMFM) was used to evaluate gross motor function.
Results
The total effective rate of the observation group was 100.0% (30/30), which was significantly higher than that of the control group (80.0% (24/30), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). GMFM score of the two groups after treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in GMFM score between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).
Conclusion
The spasmolysis prescription for bathing combined with rehabilitation training can obviously improve the muscle tension of children with spasmodic cerebral palsy, which is beneficial to the training of gross motor function.
