Abstract:
Objective
To observe the effects of ambroxol combined with human immunoglobulin on serum electrolytes concentrations and levels of Btype natriuretic peptide (BNP) and neuropeptide Y (NPY) in children with severe pneumonia.
Methods
A total of 86 child patients with severe pneumonia admitted to Luoyang Women and Children Health Care Center were selected for the study and were randomly divided into observation group(n=43) and control group(n=43). Control group was given basic treatments after admission, including pulmonary infection control, respiratory support and acidosis correction, and observation group was given ambroxol hydrochloride injection combined with human immunoglobulin on the basis of treatment for control group, and they were treated for 35d. The efficacy, electrolytes indexes and levels of BNP and NPY were observed in the two groups.
Results
The total effective rate of treatment in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group[88.37%(38/43) vs 69.77%(30/43),P<0.05]. After treatment, the levels of blood potassium, blood sodium, blood chlorine and serum calcium in the two groups were significantly increased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05). The above serum electrolytes indexes in observation group after treatment were higher than those in control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of BNP and NPY in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The levels of BNP and NPY in observation group after treatment were lower than those in control group (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Ambroxol combined with human immunoglobulin can improve the symptoms of severe pneumonia and correct electrolyte imbalance of children patients with severe pneumonia, and it has significant effects.
