Abstract:
Objective
To study the clinical efficacy of acupoint application combined with massage in the treatment of children with functional dyspepsia.
Methods
Totally 120 children with functional dyspepsia were selected and divided into two groups:60 cases in the treatment group and 60 in the control group. The treatment group was treated with acupoint application combined with child massage, and the control group was given domperidone tablets taken orally. Both groups were treated for consecutively 2 courses,5 days in a course with 1 day of rest between the two courses. The clinical effect, symptom scores, gastrin and motilin levels in the two groups before and after treatment were observed.
Results
At the end of the treatment, one case was excluded because of skin allergy in the observation group. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.2%(55/59),and the total effective rate of the control group was 80%(48/60), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the main symptom score of functional dyspepsia in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),while the level of gastrin and motilin in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group(P<0.05).
ConclusionCompared with the single use of domperidone, the acupoint application combined with massage in the treatment of functional dyspepsia in children can improve the clinical symptoms of children with functional dyspepsia and increase the level of gastrin and motilin.
