Abstract:
Objective
To explore the clinical effect of Xiyanping injection in the treatment of children with viral encephalitis.
Methods
A total of 94 children who were treated for viral encephalitis in Shenyang Children's Hospital from March 2015 to April 2017 were randomly divided into two groups: observation(47 cases) and control group(47 cases). The observation group was given Xiyangping injection for antiviral treatment, and the control group received ribavirin. After one week of treatment, the clinical effect, the improvement in clinical symptoms and signs, and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.
Results
The total effective rate of observation group was 95.74％(45/47),significantly higher than that of the control group(80.85％,38/47)(P<0.05). The consciousness recovery time, antipyretic time and the time of headache and vomiting disappearance were shorter in the observation group, and there was statistical difference(P＜0.05). The incidence rate of adverse reactions was 2.13％(1/47) in the observation group, which was significantly lower than that in the control group(21.3％,10/47) ﹙P＜0.05﹚.
ConclusionIn the treatment of children with viral encephalitis, Xiyanping injection is safe and reliable, which has quick and significant effect on the disease, safeguarding the health of children better.
