Abstract: Objective
To analyze the effect of early rehabilitation nursing on dysphagia in children with severe viral encephalitis.
Methods
A total of 110 children with severe viral encephalitis with dysphagia treated in the Children's Hospital of Henan Province from April 2018 to February 2019 were included as the research subjects. According to the order of admission, they were divided into 55 cases in the control group and 55 cases in the observation group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group was given early rehabilitation nursing, such as swallowing ability training (pharyngeal cold stimulation training, tongue muscle resistance training, lip muscle training, mouth exercise training), feeding training and language training, continuously for 3-5 courses with 10 days as one course. Observe the total clinical effective rate, the incidence of complications, and the satisfaction with nursing services.
Results
(1) The total effective rate of nursing in the observation group was 98.1%(54/55), which was significantly higher than the 83.6%(46/55) in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05); (2) The incidence rate of the observation group(3.6%,2/55) was lower than that of the control group(16.36%,9/55)(P<0.05). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).(3)The satisfaction degree of nursing was 100%(55/55) in the observation group, which was significantly higher than the control group(90.9%,50/55), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion
Early rehabilitation nursing for children with severe viral encephalitis accompanied by dysphagia is effective and worth promoting.
