Abstract: Based on the physiological features of five internal organs of children and through combination of ancient theory with modern dieting and living habits of children, the relationship between obesity in children and five internal organs was analyzed. The five internal organs of children have the following features: kidney being deficient, spleen and lung being not sufficient, and liver and heart being enough to spare. The key to the pathognesis of child obesity is that the spleen doesn't function properly and the liver Qi is stagnated. The lesion is mainly in the liver and spleen, and is closely related to the kidney. Also, it is associated with heart and lung dysfunction. The pathological products are sputum accumulation, edema and blood stasis. Mean while, obesity has effect on the five internal organs and causes some related diseases. Therefore, in the treatment of obesity, we should pay attention to the physiques of children and emphasize the concept of integrity and syndrome differentiation.
