Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effect of phentolamine in the treatment of children with (incomplete) intestinal obstruction.
Methods:Eighty children with (incomplete) intestinal obstruction hospitalized in the Pediatric Department of Wuwei Liangzhou Hospital form June 2012 to June 2015,were randomly divided into control group(n=40) and treatment group(n=40).The control group was given water fasting, gastrointestinal decompression, rehydration, enema and other comprehensive treatment, and for the treatment group,on the basis of the treatment for control group, phentolamine was given;observe clinical symptoms improvement and recovery time after treatment in the two groups.
Results:The cure rate of the treatment group(48 h,72 h,4~6 d) was 37.5%(15/40),95.0%(38/40) and 100.0%(40/40) respectively, while in the control group it was 20.0%(8/40),70.0%(28/40) and 82.5%(33/40).The cure rate at 72 h and 4~6 days in treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion:Phentolamine is effective in improving in clinical symptoms and shortening the course of the disease in the treatment of children with (incomplete) intestinal obstruction, which is worthy of popularied and applied in pediatric clinics, and it is safe and effective.
