Objective ：To analyze the clinical characteristics acute poisoning in children of poisoning causes,and to seek intervention measures to reduce the occurrence of accidental poisoning.
Methods：Analysis the clinical data of 172 children admitted to our hospital for poisoning from Jan.2012 to Mar.2016.

Results：172 cases of poisoning mainly pesticides (64,37.21%), followed by drug (47,27.32%); acute poisoning in children,poisoning in 1-3 years old poisoning most (93,54.07%); poisoning by gastrointestinal absorption (157,91.28%); summer season, common, rural children height distribution and prognosis of good.

Conclusion：The parents should strengthen the supervision of children, take good care of pesticides and drugs, drugs to understand the basic knowledge, strengthen safety education for children and parents, can reduce the occurrence of poisoning.
