Abstract: Objective To systematically evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma at remission stage. Methods We searched CNKI to collect randomized controlled trials(RCTs) on traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of children with bronchial asthma at remission stage from January to February 2019.Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of included studies. After that a Metaanalysis was made by using RevMan 5.3 software. Results A total of 29 RCTs involving 2 487 patients were included in the study. The Metaanalysis results showed that compared with western medicine, the traditional Chinese medicine could significantly improve the clinical efficiency[OR=3.09,95%CI(2.42,3.94), P<0.000 01],and the control rate of individual symptom was better than the control group[OR=14.07,95%CI(6.99,28.31),P<0.000 01], there being statistically significant differences. Conclusion This study shows that the traditional Chinese medicine is superior to western medicine in overall clinical efficacy.
