Abstract: Objective：To observe the clinical effect of modified Xiaoqinglong decoction combined with fluticasone propionate inhaled aerosol in the treatment of cough variant asthma of external cold and internal fluid type.
Methods：A total of 80 patients with cough variant asthma of external cold and internal fluid type were included and randomly divided into observation group(n=40)and control group(n=40). The observation group was treated with modified Xiaoqinglong decoction combined with fluticasone propionate inhaled aerosol, while the control group was treated with fluticasone propionate inhaled aerosol alone, and the treatment period was 1 month. The scores of TCM symptoms, clinical efficacy and recurrence rate of each group were observed.
Results：The total effective rate of the observation group and the control group was 95.0%(38/40) and 75.0%(30/40), respectively, with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores in wheezing, cough and expectoration of the control group were significantly higher than those of the observation group(P<0.05). After stopping the treatment, the recurrence rate in observation group was 10.0%(4/40), lower than that of control group(27.5%,11/40)(P<0.05).
Conclusion：Modified Xiaoqinglong decoction combined with fluticasone propionate inhaled aerosol has significant effect in the treatment of cough variant asthma of external cold and internal fluid type, which can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and reduce the recurrence rate.
