Abstract: Lonicerae and Forsythiae powder is a well-known prescription by Wu Jutong,a famous specialist in warm-heat disease of Qing-dynasty.It is effective in relieving fever and expel poison,and is regarded as the first-choice in managing warm-heat disease,which plays an important role in the clinical practice.In this paper,by way of literature combing,we have sorted out the literature about infantile warm-heat diseases and Lonicerae and Forsythiae powder,explain the prescription and its application in the treatment of the diseases.In Differentiation of Warm-heat Diseases,the powder was used in the treatment of many warm-heat syndromes in children.The doctors of later ages have modified the prescription and further broadened its application scope,making it more important in modern clinical practice of dealing with warm-heat diseases,respiratory diseases and viral infections in children.
