Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effect of optimized infusion process in pediatric outpatient emergency department.
Methods:A total of 700 children received infusion in Hunan Children's Hospital from June 2011 to June 2014,and they were divided into two groups: the observation group(350 cases) and the control group(350 cases). The observation group was given optimized infusion process, and the control group received conventional one.Compare and analyze infusion result of the two groups, including infusion waiting time, families' satisfaction with the infusion treatment and nursing accidents during infusion.
Results:The average waiting time for infusion was (10.98±3.49)min in the observation group, significantly shorter than that of the control group (31.04±4.12)min,the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).Families' satisfaction degree was 97.7%(342/350) in the observation group, significantly higher than that of the control group[86.9% (304/350)],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The rate of nursing accidents was 5.7%(20/350) in the observation group, which was greatly lower than that of the control group[17.7%(62/350)],with statistical difference(P<0.05).
Conclusion:Optimized infusion process has better effect than conventional one in the pediatric outpatient emergency department and should be clinical used.
