Abstract:
Objective：To observe the clinical effect of transumbilical single laparoscopic treatment for acute appendicitis in children.
Methods：A total of 123 children were admitted to Hunan Children's Hospital from August 2012 to April 2015 for acute appendicitis.According to treatment methods，these children were divided into two groups:the observation group(66 cases) and the control group(57 cases).The control group was given conventional laparoscopic surgery and the observation group received transumbilical single laparoscopic treatment.Compare the clinical effect，operation-related indexes and complication incidences between the two groups.
Results：The total effective rate was 97.0%(64/66) in the observation group，significantly higher than that of the control group，which was 84.2%(48/57)，and the difference was of statistical significance(P＜0.05).The average operative time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group，and the bleeding volume in the observation group was much less than in the control group，the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).The complication incidences after treatment were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group，and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the recovery time of intestinal function and the hospital stay(P＞0.05).
Conclusion：In the treatment of acute appendicitis in children，transumbilical single laparoscopic treatment is better than conventional laparoscopic surgery，and it is safe with good effect，which should be used in clinic.
