Effect of farinfrared radiation heat preservation and infant incubator to keep warm on the vital signs and body quality of premature infants

Abstract: Objective:To explore the effect of farinfrared radiation heat preservation and infant incubator to keep warm on the vital signs and body quality of premature infants.
Methods:Eighty premature infants were chosen who were hospitalized in Shiyan People's Hospital of Baoan District from Jan. 2013 to May 2014,and they were randomly divided into two groups:the observation group(40 cases) and the control group(40 cases).Compare the breath,heart rate,milk volume and body quality at different time point of hospital stay(on admission,4 d,7 d and 14 d) between the two groups.
Results:There was no statistical difference in breath and heart rate at different time points(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in milk volume and body quality on admission between the two groups(P>0.05).After being kept warm by different methods,the milk volume and body quality in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group on 4 d,7 d and 14 d of admission,and there was statistical difference(P<0.05).
Conclusion:Compared with farinfrared radiation heat preservation,infant incubator is more fit for keeping warm for the premature infants,which can effectively increase the breath and heart rate and has significant clinical effect.
