Abstract:
objective
To study the significance of joint detection of PCT, hs-CRP and WBC in the diagnosis of children with respiratory tract infection.
Methods
Totally 116 cases of respiratory tract infection were randomly selected from January 2015 to June 2016 in Hunan Children's Hospital, and according to the different diagnostic results, they were divided into bacterial infection group(n=52) and virus group(n=64), and select 58 cases of healthy children at  the same period as control group. Compared PCT, hs-CRP and WBC among three groups of children.
Results
The positive rate of PCT, hs-CRP and CRP in bacteria infection group was significantly higher than that of virus infection group and control group(P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between virus infection group and control group(P>0.05).The PCT, hs-CRP and CRP concentration of bacteria infection group was significantly higher than the other two groups(P<0.05), and there was no difference between virus infection group and control group(P>0.05).
Conclusion
The combined detection of PCT, hs-CRP and WBC can significantly improve the positive rate of diagnosis of children with respiratory tract infection, and has important clinical significance.
