Abstract:
Objective
To investigate the analgesic effect of music intervention in the fundus screening of retinopathy in premature infants.
Methods
A total of 150 premature infants who underwent fundus screening in the intensive care unit of the Children's Hospital of Zhengzhou University from Jan. 1, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2017 were randomly divided into the combination group nonnutritive sucking (NNS) group and control group, with 50 cases in each group. The combination group was given a combination of music intervention+nonnutritive sucking for intervention, NNS group was given nonnutritive sucking for intervention, and the control group did not receive any special interventions. The preterm infant pain rating scale(PIPP) was used to evaluate the pain level of premature infants.
Results
The PIPP scores of the control group were higher than those of the observation group and NNS group at 1 and 5 minutes after screening(P<0.05). The PIPP scores of the combination group were lower than those of the NNS group at 1 and 5 minutes after screening, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Both simple nonnutritive sucking and music intervention combined with nonnutritive sucking can significantly reduce the pain response of fundus screening in premature infants, and the combined analgesic effect of the two is significantly better than pure non-nutritive sucking, which is worth clinical promotion.
