Analysis on clinical ambulatory electroencephalogram of 46 children with Tic disorders

Abstract:
Objective:To summarize the clinical and ambulatory electroencephalogram (AEEG) features of Tic disorders in 46 children and to explore the relationship between the clinical manifestation and AEEG.
Methods:Totally 46 cases of Tic disorders who took the AEEG examation more than 20 hours from Mar.2014 to Nov. 2014 were selected. Analyze the clinical and AEEG features.
Results:Eleven out of all the patients (23.9%) had abnormal AEEG. Six of them presented as slowwave and five of them presented as epileptiform discharges. Three cases of epileptiform waves appeared only in the period of sleep.
Conclusion:Tic disorders patients have abnormal AEEG. The more serious the disease,the more common the abnormal EEG.
