Clinical effect of North apricot asarum powder by acupoint application in the treatment of exogenous cough in children with cerebral palsy and the nursing observation

Abstract:
Objective:To summarize the clinical effect in treating exogenous cough of cerebral palsy with acupoint application of Apricot Asarum Powder, and introduce the corresponding nursing countermeasures.
Methods:The 60 cases of children with exogenous cough of cerebral palsy were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 30 cases in each group; the control group was given conventional treatment, including antibiotic therapy, aerosol inhalation, patting the back to remove phlegm,and symptomatic and supportive treatment; observation group was given Apricot Asarum Powder for acupoint application in addition to the conventional therapy; treatment lasted for 3 days and 7 days for assessment of the therapeutic effect.
Results:The total effective rate of the observation group and the control group after 3 and 7 days was 90%, 60% and 100%, 83.3%,respectively. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).
Conclusion:Apricot Asarum Powder for acupoint application in treating cough in children with cerebral palsy has the advantages of convenient operation and obvious curative effect,which is worthy of promotion.
