Abstract:
Objective：To analyze the level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D in children with T1DM and its clinical significance.
Methods：From February 2012 to January 2015 in Pediatrics Department of Nanyang Central Hospital,45 children with T1DM were selected as T1DM group,27 cases with DKA| 38 healthy children undergoing physical examination at the same time period were selected as control group. The level of vitamin A and vitamin D were detected by ELISA.
Results：The level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D in T1DM group was lower than that in control group(P<0.05). The level of serum vitamin A and vitamin D had no significant differences in children with simple T1DM and children combined with DKA(P>0.05).
Conclusion：Timely and adequate supplement of vitamin A and vitamin D may reduce or delay the onset of T1DM in children.
