Abstract:
Prof. Ren Xianqing is good at treating children with chronic cough, recurrent respiratory infection and on based on traditional Chinese medicine. He puts forward that the main pathogeny of chronic cough in children is wind, phlegm and deficiency. He pays attention to differentiated treatment, taking it as treatment principle to invigorate lung, benefit spleen and dispel wind and phlegm. He considers it important to nurse body condition and to use antitussive medicine with care. The comprehensive treatment should be performed by taking the change of modern social environment into account in order to achieve significant effect.
