Abstract:
Objective
To observe the changes of the total number and classification of BALF in young rats infected with RSV as well as the effect of Dingchuan decoction on it.
Methods
Twenty-seven Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group, RSV model group and Dingchuan decoction group, 9 rats in each group. Except for the normal group, the rats in the other two groups were given RSV(Long bead) virus for nose dripping to get modeling, and after modeling the rats in normal group and model group were given gavage with equal volume of physiological saline. The Dingchuan decoction group was gavaged with Dingchuan decoction. HE staining method was used to observe the change of inflammation in lung tissues of rats; the cell smear-Ruish-Giemsa staining was used to determine the cell classification count in BALF of rats in each group.
Results
Pathology displayed: compared with the normal group, the inflammation of lung tissue in RSV model group was obvious and inflammatory cells increased, and after Dingchuan decoction intervention lung tissue inflammation was improved; compared with the normal group, the total cell count and the indexes of RSV model group were higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the total cell count and indexes of Dingchuan decoction group were significantly decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion
The mechanism of Dingchuan decoction in RSV infection in rats may be related to the inhibition of inflammatory cells in rat BALF.
