Abstract:
objective
To observe the effect of the family training program directed by the national special rehabilitation nurses on the exercise ability and daily living ability of children with cerebral palsy(cerebral palsy).
Methods
Sixty children with cerebral palsy hospitalized in the Rehabilitation Ward of Shenyang Children's Hospital from November 1st, 2016 to January 30th, 2017 were selected as the subjects, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random table method. The control group was given routine rehabilitation training after admission, and the observation group was also treated according to the family training program of the Peabody Motor Development Scale(2nd edition) on the basis of the treatment for control group. After 6 months of treatment, the changes of daily living ability and sports development quotient in the two groups were compared.
Results
After 6 months' training, the difference of activities of daily living in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The differences in the gross motor development quotient, fine motor development quotient and total developmental quotient of the observation group were all higher than those of the control group, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion
Family training combined with rehabilitation therapy, which is directed by the national special rehabilitation nurses, can obviously improve the exercise ability and daily living ability of the children with cerebral palsy.
