Abstract: Objective To discuss the clinical effect of western medicine combined with the traditional Chinese massage in treating pediatric diarrheal disease. Methods Select 132 cases of children with diarrhea as the research objects; the children were randomly divided into control group(n=66) and observation group(n=66). The patients of both groups were treated with conventional western medicine, and the traditional Chinese massage as an assistant treatment was applied to the children of observation group, with 3 days as a course of treatment. The two groups were compared in the recovery time of stool features, antidiarrheal time and clinical curative effect. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.5%(63/66), which was higher than the 81.8%(54/66) of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The antidiarrheal time and the recovery time of stool features of observation group was significantly shorter than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of western medicine treatment with the traditional Chinese massage can obviously improve the clinical effect in treating pediatric diarrheal disease, reduce side effects and adverse reactions, and effectively improve the disease cure rate, which is worth wide application clinically.
