Abstract: Objective To study the effect of gamma globulin in adjuvant treatment of primary immune thrombocytopenia in children Methods Totally 72 children with primary immune thrombocytopenia treated in the department of hematology of our hospital from March 2017 to April 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,36 cases each The control group received conventional hormone therapy, while the observation group received gamma globulin therapy on this basis The clinical treatment effect, platelet recovery time, bleeding cessation time, incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared Results The clinical effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05) After treatment, the platelet recovery time and bleeding cessation time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05) The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 8.33%(3/36),lower than that in the control group(27.78%,10/36),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05) The 5month follow up showed that the recurrence rate in the observation group was 2.78%(1/36),lower than that in the control group (16.67%,6/36),with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05) Conclusion Gamma globulin in adjuvant therapy for primary immune thrombocytopenia in children can significantly shorten the time of platelet recovery and bleeding cessation in children, with good clinical effect and low incidence of adverse reactions
