Abstract: Objective To systematically evaluate the risk factors influencing the prognosis of tic disorders(TD) in Chinese children. Methods The observational studies on the factors affecting the prognosis of children with TD were retrieved in electronic Chinese and English databases from their inception to April 2022, including PubMed, EMbase, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CBM, VIP, Wanfang and CNKI. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted the data, and evaluated the included literatures using NOS scale. RevMan 5.4 software was used for meta-analysis.Results A total of 3 572 articles were retrieved, and 10 articles were finally included, including 2 case-control studies and 8 cohort studies, with a total of 1 699 TD children. The results of Meta-analysis showed that family history of mental and neurological diseases[OR=3.17,95%CI(1.51,6.66)], comorbidity[OR=2.55,95%CI(1.68,3.87)], frequency of disease recurrence [OR=3.65,95%CI(2.06,6.48)], disease severity [OR=1.52,95%CI(1.19,1.94)], repeated respiratory infection [OR=1.33,95%CI(1.22,1.44)], and family environment[OR=3.00,95%CI(1.50,5.99)] were risk factors influencing the prognosis of tic disorders in Chinese children. Conclusion Family history of mental and neurological disorders, comorbidities, frequency of TD recurrence, severity of disease, recurrent respiratory infection and family environment are associated with poor prognosis of tic disorders in Chinese children.
