Abstract: Objective：To investigate the effects of Shenlefang in MCNS rats.Methods：A total of 48 MCNS model rats were induced by ADR venoclysis through caudal vein.The rats were randomly divided into six groups:the normal control group,the model control group,the positive control group,the low-dosage of Chinese herbs group,the middle-dosage of Chinese herbs group,the high-dosage of Chinese herbs group.Different treatment were given to the six groups.We observed the amount of protein in urine,determined the levels of Alb，TC，TG，BUN，Scr and ET in serum and ET in kidney,and observed morphologic change in kidneys.Results：Compared with the normal group,the levels of ET in serum and kidney tissue of rats in the model groups were increased（P＜0.05～0.01）.Shenlefang could decrease the amount of protein in urine and the TC，TG，BUN，Scr and ET in serum or kidney（P＜0.050.01）,and repair injured foot process of glomerule epithelial cell.Conclusion：ET may be concerned with the pathogenesis of MCNS.Shenlefang has obvious protective effect on MCNS rats,inhibit the ET expression in serum and kidney,and prevent the further development of MCNS，hence reduce the pathologic damage to kidney and alleviate kidney disease.
