Abstract: Objective:To investigate the influence of children's constitution on the pathogenesis of Henoch-Schonlein purpura. Methods:In order to explore the influence of physical factors on pathogenesis of children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura, through the cross-sectional investigation, the constitution of 165 healthy children and 165 sick children were analyzed and summarized based on the children constitution scale of TCM published in 2015 by YangYin.Results:The types of constitution were mostly balanced constitution(39.39%) and phlegm dampness constitution(26.06%) in the 165 healthy children, while in sick children, the main types were Yin deficiency(42.42%) and damp heat constitution(26.67%). The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is significant difference in the distribution of TCM constitution types between healthy children and children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura. Children with Yin-deficiency and damp-heat are more likely to develop Henoch-Schonlein purpura than those with other types.
