Abstract: Objective:To analyze the relevant risk factors of cerebral palsy in children in Wuxi area, and to provide evidence for preventing the incidence of cerebral palsy.
Methods:A total of 50 children with cerebral palsy hospitalized in Pediatric Rehabilitation Center of Wuxi Children's Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected as observation group. Another 100 healthy children undergoing physical examination in our hospital in the same period were selected as control group. A 1∶2 matched case-control study was conducted. Complete the questionnaire by inquiring the parents of the children. The survey items included gender of children, maternal age, radiation contact, drug use during pregnancy, living in new houses or driving new cars, working, smoking history, drinking history, history of abortion, preventing miscarriage, taking folic acid, delivery methods, bad mood, pregnancy complications, regular prenatal examination, preterm birth, birth weight, neonatal asphyxia, hypoxic -ischemic encephalopathy, and pathological jaundice. All data were analyzed with univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis.
Results:Univariate analysis showed that maternal age, working, smoking history, history of abortion, bad mood, number of births, low weight at birth, neonatal asphyxia,hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and pathological jaundice were risk for cerebral palsy in children(P<0.05). The multivariate analysis showed that maternal age, smoking history, history of abortion, bad mood, number of births, premature delivery, low weight at birth, neonatal asphyxia and hypoxicischemic encephalopathy were the independent risk factors.
Conclusion:The relevant risk factors of cerebral palsy in children are various. In order to provide scientific theoretical basis for reducing the incidence of cerebral palsy in children, preventive measures are taken and epidemiological investigation and statistics about common risk factors are carried out.
