Abstract: Pneumonia is one of the common respiratory system diseases in children. External treatment of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has certain advantages. The author reviewed the literatures on the external TCM therapies in recent years and made a brief summary of nine aspects, including acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine, pediatric massage, cupping, enema with Chinese herbs, Chinese medicine iontophoresis, acupuncture, foot bath with Chinese medicine, microwave irradiation, and auricular point pressing with bean. This article summarizes the progress in order to provide reference for the treatment of pediatric pneumonia.
