Abstract: Objective To scientifically evaluate the clinical efficacy of Changyu Dongzhi prescription, which is based on a treatment method that simultaneously treats wind and fire,in the treatment of children with tic disorder (syndrome of liver wind hyperactivity),and to provide evidence-based evidence for clinical application. Methods A total of 100 children with tic disorder (syndrome of liver wind hyperactivity) were chosen, who were treated at the Children's Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital from September 2021 to December 2022, and they were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 50 children in each group. The experimental group was treated with Changyu Dongzhi prescription with modification, which was taken orally, while the control group was treated with clonidine transdermal patches for application. The treatment lasted for 3 months. The clinical efficacy, average course of disease, and improvement of symptoms between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of experimental group was 96.0%(48/50),higher than that of control group(84.0%,42/50),and there was statistical difference(P<0.05). In terms of YGTSS,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, disease course, and degree of symptom relief, the experimental group was better than the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05).Conclusion Changyu Dongzhi prescription can effectively alleviate the symptoms of tic disorder (syndrome of liver wind hyperactivity)and improve the therapeutic effect, which provides new ideas and plans for tic disorder, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
