Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of iontophoresis of Chinese medicine on the basis of traditional administration in the treatment of children with diarrhea disease. Methods: Totally 64 children with diarrhea disease were included as the research subjects and were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 32 children in each group. These children received treatment in Liangxiang Hospital of Fangshan District from Jan. 2014 to Dec. 2016. Traditional treatment was given to both groups, which was taking bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets(live) and montmorillonite powder orally. The observation group was also given iontophoresis of Chinese medicine. The treatment lasted for 3 days as a course. After 3 days of treatment, observe the times of bowel movement, the properties of feces, the clinical effect, recovery time and adverse reactions of the two groups. Results: The improvement in times of bowel movement and the properties of feces was better in observation group than in control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate in observation group was 93.8%(30/32),significantly higher than that in control group(71.9%,23/32),the difference being significant(P<0.05).The recovery time of observation group was (5.0±0.9)d, shorter than that of control group[(7.0±1.3)d,P<0.05].No adverse reaction was observed in both groups. Conclusion:The iontophoresis of Chinese medicine for children with diarrhea disease can shorten the treatment course. It is effective, convenient and without pain or adverse reaction. It is an effective method of treating children with diarrhea disease and worth clinical promotion.
