Abstract: ObjectiveTo observe the shortterm effect of Qi absorption preservation enema on the constitutions of children with Qi deficiency or Qi and Yin deficiency.
MethodsDivide the 300 cases whose constitutions are Qi deficiency or Qi and Yin deficiency into two groups at random by intervention:one is observation group,the other one is blank control group.The children in observation group were applied with Qi absorption preservation enema.Apply the drug to umbilicus before sleep every night,take the drug off in the morning the second day,once a day;continue using the drug,ten days in one month for three months.The blank control group were given daycare treatment only.Observe all children in the two groups three months later:the scores of physical performance,the change of physical level,the times and the course of respiratory infection.
ResultsComprared with the blank control group the difference in scores of physical symptom in observation group was statistically significant.Before and after intervention,compare the scores of physical symptom in the observation group,the difference was statistically significant.Before and after intervention,compare the scores of physical symptom in blank control group,the difference was almost not statistically significant,except for the situation of the state of complexion,appetite,enuresis and defecate in the children of Qi deficiency and the situation of the state of complexion,emotional expression in the children of Qi and Yin deficiency.While in observation group,the numbers of respiratory infection were reduced and the course of respiratory infection shortened.
ConclusionsThe treatment of Qi absorption preservation enema can improve children's state of constitution with Qi deficiency or Qi and Yin deficiency in the short term.
