Abstract: Neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy refers to brain damage caused by fetal or neonatal hypoxia and ischemia during labor or after birth. In severe cases,it can lead to intellectual disability, dyskinesia, and even death.Exosomes,as a type of extracellular vesicles, have been proven to be able to improve the function of the nervous system.Further research has found that the therapeutic effect of exosomes is achieved by targeting different target genes through miRNA content, regulating related signaling pathways, inhibiting excessive neuronal apoptosis and autophagy, suppressing the production of inflammatory factors, promoting cell proliferation and vitality, and improving pathological damage of brain tissues and neurobehavioral symptoms. Therefore, exosomes carrying miRNA have promising application prospects in the repair of neurological damage in hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.
