Abstract:
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of asthma-relieving prescription for children with thermal asthma by multi-center research method.
Methods:A total of 180 children were included in the study, who were admitted to the Pediatric Department of the 3 affiliated hospital of Shanghai TCM University from August 2014 to June 2015 for thermal asthma at acute stage. They were divided into two groups:the control group and the observation group, with 90 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with asthma-relieving prescription, and the control group was given Maxing Shigan decoction for treatment. The treatment lasted for 7 days, and compare the score change of main symptoms and signs as well as the clinical effect before and after treatment between the two groups.
Results:The score of main symptoms and signs in two groups(wheezing, cough, chest tightness, wheezing rale) were decreased after treatment, the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05),and these scores in the observation group were smaller than those of the control group after treatment, the difference being of statistical significance(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 96.7%(87/90) in the observation group, significantly higher than that of the control group[83.3%(75/90)],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion:The asthma-relieving prescription has good effect in the treatment of children with thermal asthma at acute stage, and it's better than Maxing Shigan decoction.
