Abstract:
Objective：To observe the curative effect of acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture on children with acute facial neuritis at acute stage.
Methods：Totally 80 children with acute facial neuritis at acute stage were randomly divided into two groups:observation group(n=40) and control group(n=40).Acupuncture combined with electro acupuncture treatment was performed at acute stage（1～7 days of onset） in the observation group，and it was performed at stable stage（8～15 days of onset） in the control group.The other treatments were the same in both groups，such as hormone therapy，antivirus therapy，nervous nutrition therapy，and so on，and the longest treatment lasted for one month.
Results：The time of recovery and being effective and cured was shorter in observation group,and the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.The cure rate in observation group（90%） was higher than the control group(55%)，and the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.
ConclusionFor children with acute facial neuritis，acupuncture and electroacupuncture treatment at acute stage can shorten the course of treatment，achieving effect early，which can improve the cure rate in a limited time.
