ObjectiveTo research into the diagnostic course of convulsion which is in accordance with neonates' characteristics, thus reduce the diagnostic cost.
MethodsThe study population included 386 patients(189males and 197 females, mean age 7.5 days) with convulsion of unknown causes from October 2006 to June 2008.All patients were evaluated by strict diagnostic protocol in neonatal with convulsion.
ResultsBy the initial evaluation diagnosis was clarified in 262 patients(262/386,67.9%).After further tests,a definite diagnosis was established in 91 patients(91/386,23.6%).After the whole diagnostic protocol,a definite diagnosis was established in 353 patients(353/386,91.5%),undiagnosed patients,8.5%.
ConclusionThe use of practical diagnostic protocol for neonatal convulsion results in higher etiological diagnosis rate, and it can properly guide the performance of the accessory examination, thus reduce the diagnostic cost.

    2009, 1 (3):  210-213.  doi: 10.3969/j.issn.16743865.2009.03.003
    Abstract ( 376 )   PDF (406KB) ( 129 )   Save

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of GanShenShuangPai (SGLD) in eliminating lead.
MethodsLead poisoning model was made by filling the stomach with the acetic lead. All rats were randomly divided into eight groups: LDBS highdose group,LDBS middledose group,LDBS lowdose group,EDTACaNa2 group,EDTACaNa2+Livona group(combination of western medicine group),Livona group, plumbum dyed model control group and blank control group(normal control group). After all the leadpoisoned rats were treated with medicine for 5 weeks, the change of the concentration of lead in blood, urine and excrement was observed.
ResultsOn reducing the concentration of lead in blood and increasing volume ejection of urine lead, the curative effect decreased from the EDTACaNa2+Livona group, to the EDTACaNa2 group and then to the Livona group; on increasing the volume of ejection of excrement lead, the curative effect decreased from the EDTACaNa2+Livona group to the Livona group and to the EDTACaNa2 group.
ConclusionGanShenShuangPai can promote lead discharg from kidneyurinary passage and liverintestinal tract. It reduces the concentration of lead in blood and increases ejection volume of urine and excrement lead.

ObjectiveTo study the antitussive, eliminating phlegm and antiasthmatic effects of Souning oral liquid.MethodsSome experiments were done, including cough induced by citric acid in guinea pigs, cough induced by SO2 in mice, expectorant tests by phenol red in mice, asthma induced by histamine and acetylcholine in guinea pigs, asthma induced by ovalbumin in guinea pig,to study the antitussive, eliminating phlegm and antiasthmatic effects of Souning oral liquid.ResultsSouning oral liquid exhibited significant effects in the tests of cough induced by citric acid, cough induced by SO2,expectorant tests by phenol red, asthma induced by histamine and acetylcholine, and asthma induced by ovalbumin.ConclusionThe study suggests that Souning oral liquid has  antitussive, eliminating phlegm and antiasthmatic effects.
