Abstract: Objective:To explore the method of pulmonary surfactant (PS) curosurf application and its nursing in persistent nasal continous positive airway pressure ventilation(NCPAP). Methods:Seventeen neonates with respiratory distress sydrome (NRDS) were given treatment of nasal continous positive airway pressure ventilation and curosurf;curosurf was given through endotracheal tube in persistent nasal continous positive airway pressure ventilation;observe the drug usage process and effect. Results:In the 17 neonates, 16 cases were treated successfully through indwelling catheter after suctioning once.one case used drug in traditional method because of more secretion after suctioning twice. The 17 neonates had no adverse effect, and were cured and discharged after discontinuing oxygen gradually. Conclusion:Application of cuosurf through endotracheal tube in persistent NCPAP ventilation achieves good clinical results; the method is simple and practical; the neonates feel safe and comfortable.
