Experience in psychological nursing intervention for children with dental caries

Abstract: Objective:To summarize the effect of psychological nursing intervention on dental caries in children.
MethodsA total of 198 cases of caries of deciduous teeth in children who were treated in Shenyang Stomatological Hospital from March 2013 to March 2015 were included in the study.According to the odd or even number of their visits,they were divided into two groups: the observation group and the control group,with 99 cases in each. The control group was given conventional nursing care,and the observation group received psychological nursing intervention in addition to the treatment for control group. After treatment,compare the clinical treatment time and coordination degree between the two groups.
Results:The total coordination rate of observation group was 90.9%(90/99),higher than that of control group[74.7%(74/99)],and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The treatment time of observation group was (14.8±3.6)min,lower than that of control group,(19.5±6.3)min,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusion:Scientific treatment and psychological nursing intervention can help the children to actively cooperate in the treatment and shorten the treatment time.
