Retrospective investigation and summary of syphilis transmission blocking from mother to baby

Abstract: Objective:To study the results of intervention for syphilis infection in mothers and infants so as to summarize the experience and shortage.
Methods:A retrospective analysis was made on the results of syphilis infection in mothers and infants from October 2012 to September 2013.
Results:The intervention rate of syphilis in mothers was 85%(17/20) in 2012 and 95.65%(22/23) in 2013.The high TRUST titre was related to stillbirth.
Conclusion:Free testing and intervention can block the syphilis transmission from mothers to infants.In order to block the transmission permanently,it is necessary to do a good job in publicity and education to improve the self-protection sense in the high-risk population.
