Abstract: Objective:To analyze vitamin D(Vit D) level of children with cerebral palsy in Shenyang.
Methods:From April 2015 to June 2015,113 children with cerebral palsy hospitalized in the Rehabilitation Department of Shenyang Children's Hospital aged 1~12 were selected as the observation group,150 confirmed by healthy children roution physical examination aged 1~12 were selected as the control group. High performance liquid chromatography was used to detect the level of serum Vit D, and 25(OH)D levels were compared between the two groups.
Results:The average level of 25(OH)D (20.7±6.0 μg/L) of observation group was lower than that of the control group(25.3±7.5 μg/L),the difference being significant(P<0.01). The level of 25(OH)D of observation group was lower than that of control group among all the age groups(P<0.05). The incidence of 25(OH)D insufficiency and 25(OH)D deficiency in 1~3 age group and >3~6 age group of observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference on the incidence of 25(OH)D insufficiency and 25(OH)D deficiency in >6~12 age group(P>0.05).
Conclusion:The serum level of 25(OH)D in children with cerebral palsy is significantly lower than that in healthy children. In order to get better rehabilitation effect, in addition to routine rehabilitation training for children with cerebral palsy, we should also pay attention to the level of 25(OH)D.
