Abstract:
Objective
To explore the clinical efficacy of Baifuyin combined with traditional Chinese medicine injection in the treatment of infants and young children with pertussis syndrome.
Methods
A total of 60 children with whooping cough syndrome were selected from March 2014 to December 2015. By random number table they were divided into observation group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases). The control group was treated with cyclamycin erythromycin dry suspension. The observation group was treated with Baifuyin combined with Xiyanping and/or Chuankezhi injection. Both groups were treated for 14 days. Observe the main symptoms and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score before and after treatment as well as the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions.
Results
After treatment， the total scores,the scores of primary and TCM syndromes in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After 7d and 14d of treatment, the abovementioned scores were lower in observation group than in control group; the effective rate and total effective rate of TCM syndrome were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no obvious adverse reaction in the two groups.
Conclusion
The clinical curative effect of Baifuyin combined with traditional Chinese medicine injection is feasible and safe in the treatment of infants with whooping cough syndrome， which is worthy of clinical application.
