Abstract:
Objective
To observe the clinical effect of recombinant human epidermal growth factor in the treatment of children with herpetic gingivitis.
Methods
Totally 60 children with herpetic gingivitis treated in Hunan Children's Hospital from Mar. 2014 to Sep. 2016 were randomly divided into two groups: 30 in control group and 30 in observation group. Both groups were given antivirus treatment with adenosine monophosphate, and the observation group was also given recombinant human epidermal growth factor——Jinyintai spray, which was sprayed in the oral cavity and on gingiva. The treatment lasted for 7 days. Compare the clinical effect, the time of recession of gum swelling and beginning to eat, and the healing time of ulcer and herpes.
Results
The total effective rate of observation group was 93.3%(28/30), significantly higher than that of control group(73.3%,22/30), and there was statistical difference(P<0.05). All the above-mentioned time was shorter in the observation group, and the difference was statistical(P<0.05).
Conclusion
Adenosine monophoshate combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor is better than adenosine monophosphate alone in the treatment of children with herpetic gingivitis, and there is fewer adverse reactions, which is easy for children to accept and worthy of clinical application.
