Abstract: Objective:Based on the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system V2.5(TCMISS V2.5), to study the rules of drug use by Professor Xu Youjia in the treatment of childhood asthma in remission stage.Methods:A total of 124 prescriptions on childhood asthma in remission stage by Professor Xu Youjia were selected in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM from June 2012 to December 2014. The following items were analyzed: frequency of drug use, four properties and five tastes, drug combination, drug pair and core combination.Results:The prescriptions of Professor Xu mainly consist of the drugs tonifying deficiency, relieving exterior syndrome, regulating Qi, helping digestion and inducing astringency. The drugs most frequently used in the 124 prescriptions were: radix sileris, Atractylodes, licorice, orange peel, Schisandra, fried rice shoots, betel nuts, Shidi, heterophylla and bergamot like. The drugs used by Professor Xu were mostly with warm nature, followed by mild-natured drugs; the drugs with cold and hot nature were less used.Conclusion:Professor Xu's treatment for childhood asthma in remission stage is guided by the principle of "the diseases being deficient and cold in nature. The medicinal materials tonifying deficiency, regulating Qi and helping digestion are often used, and the drugs mainly used are warm in nature.
