Abstract:
Objective:
To observe the curative effect of intravenous injection of diazepam combined with Chinese medicine retention enema in the treatment of febrile convulsion in children.
Methods:
A total of 65 children with febrile seizures admitted from September 2015 to September 2017 to Xiangyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and randomly divided into two groups: 42 cases in the observation group and 23 cases in the control group. The observation group was treated by the intravenous injection of diazepam and Chinese medicine retention enema, and the control group was given intravenous injection of diazepam and rectal administration of diclofenac sodium. The patients were treated for 3 to 5 days according to the severity of the disease. The total effective rate of the two groups and the recurrence rate of convulsion within 72h were observed.
Results:
The total effective rate in the observation group(97.6%,41/42) was significantly higher than that in the control group(73.9%,17/23)(P<0.05), and the recurrence rate within 72h in the observation group(2.4%,1/42) was lower than that in the control group(26.1%,6/23)(P<0.05).
Conclusion:The effectiveness of intravenous injection of diazepam combined with Chinese medicine retention enema is better than that of intravenous injection of diazepam combined with rectal administration of diclofenac sodium, and the recurrence rate is low.
