Abstract: Xiyanping injection is a water soluble preparation of andrographolidesulfonate,which has anti inflammatory,anti bacterial and anti viral effect  It also has the effect of protecting liver and gallbladder,regulating immune function and fighting against platelet aggregation and neoplasm  It inhibits the release of inflammatory factors by inhibiting mononuclear phagocytes and enhancing the phagocytosis of macrophages;it decreases the release of cytokines,prevents the wrapping of DNA segment by protein,and inhibits the copying of viruses,so as to play a significant role in anti inflammatory,anti vbacterial and anti viral actions  Therefore,it has been widely used in the treatment for viral and/or bacterial infectious diseases in respiratory,digestive,and nervous systems,and the effect is significant  However,it is also pointed out in some related literatures that in the clinical application of Xiyanping injection,due to the individual differences of children during growth and development,and because Xiyanping is a Chinese preparation,which can activate complements to produce allergic toxin and induce the release of histamine after the large molecular weight protein enters the human body,there is taboo in compatibility and difference in dose,so some children have adverse reactions after being given Xiyanping injection,such as damage to the skin and its appendages stomach discomfort,abdominal pain and diarrhea Therefore,when Xiyanping injection is used,it is necessary to strictly assess the indications and contradications,carefully inquire the drug allergic history,give the proper dose and enhance the observation and monitoring during transfusion in order to avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions
