Application experience of Xuanbai Chengqi decoction in treatment for children with pneumonia

Abstract: Lung heat is most common in children with pneumonia. Its pathogenesis is mainly as follows: pathogens invade the lung defensive system and can not be eradicated in the case of prolonged invasion and further invade large intestine. Clinical signs of lung heat and fuviscera excess are common, such as fever, cough and asthma, shortness of breath, phlegm, constipation, etc. Xuanbai Chengqi decoction is a representative prescription created by Wu Jutong to treat febrile diseases in Yangming meridian with constipation. It is usually used in the treatment of children with pneumonia and viscera qi obstruction of the lung heat and fu viscera excess syndrome. Oral administration of this decoction can diffuse the lung, clear the hollow viscera and discharge heat. External application on skin can relax channels and dredge collaterals, with its effects reaching the disease site directly. Xuanbai Chengqi decoction for internal and external use in the treatment of pediatric pneumonia has a remarkable effect, which is worthy of our in depth thinking.
