Abstract: The understanding of traditional Chinese medicine for multiple tic syndrome is as follows: in terms of syndrome differentiation and treatment, most medical doctors mainly focus on organ differentiation and illness; in terms of pathogenesis, most medical doctors believe that the pathogenesis of this disease is the deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality, specifically manifested as deficiency in liver, spleen and kidney, and wind, fire and phlegm are interlinked; in terms of disease location, the main disease location of multiple tics is in the liver, and is closely related to the heart, lung, spleen, kidney and other organs. Based on the above knowledge, experimental researches and clinical researches on multiple tics are carried out in TCM, which shows that TCM treatment for multiple tics can control the symptoms of tics and improve the quality of life of children. Therefore, Chinese medicine is one of the effective methods in treating children with multiple tics.
